Abbotsleigh Early Learning and Junior School
22 Woonona Ave, Wahroonga, NSW, 2076

Pedagogy and curriculum at Abbotsleigh is drawn from a broad and holistic base. Influenced by the work of Malaguzzi and our contemporaries in Reggio Emilia and enriched by current research and development into education globally. At the heart of the approach to learning is a commitment to fostering the sense of wonder, curiosity and creativity of each child. Abbotsleigh believes in the abundant potential of all children. Educators work alongside children as facilitators- strengthening learning dispositions inviting risk taking, flexibility, optimism and tenacity - nurturing life long learners. Educators recognise the potential of young children to question, reflect, problem solve, theorise, hypothesis, collaborate and express their ideas and thinking using a range of mediums. The belief that children of all ages bring knowledge, skills and experiences to their learning is valued and respected and underpins their work. Visitors will be able to spend time in either the Infants and toddlers, preschool, transition or Infants Department. There will be a presentation at 6.30pm in each of the spaces.

Western Australia

Scotch College, Perth - POSTPONED

Corner of Kott Terrace and Stirling Road, Swanbourne, WA, 6010

Scotch College Perth Early Learning Centre is a new edition to a 120 year old educational institution. Although they have a deeply enculturated history, their vision is firmly imbedded within the 21st Century. They value the tenants of the Reggio Emilia Approach, and acknowledge it as best practice in the early years. The Reggio Approach marries seamlessly with the International Baccalaureate programme run across the College. It is through these lenses that each child’s capacity to see the world as a magical and emerging wonderland is nurtured.
